An Active Community
For centuries, Unitarians and Universalists have been engaged individuals opting to make their lives and the world a better place. As Unitarian Universalists, we gather under a covenant which affirms and promotes “the inherent worth and dignity of every person.”
Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation is an active community of individuals who come together in many different ways to work towards peace, respect and justice. We offer many opportunities and activities for you to connect with us based on your particular interests.
We welcome your unique contribution as a vital part of our congregational life.
Committees at Valley Unitarian Universalist serve the congregation in many ways, from pastoral care and the spiritual development of our young to the business of running a congregation. Each are led by VUU paid staff or community members that are either elected or who volunteer to serve.

VUU is a congregation committed to justice, equality and compassion. We believe in and are guided by the Unitarian Universalist 7th Principle: Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. Our work for justice takes many forms from taking action for climate change to caring for the homeless and people in need in our area.
We caravan for Black Lives Matter. We call our legislators about climate and education policy. We explore ethical eating options and grow beautiful vegetables in our Green Sanctuary Garden. We discuss what is on our minds and ways to effectively address change.
Connecting socially after a Sunday service or at the end of a committee meeting is a significant part of who we are at VUU! But we also offer fun opportunities for no other purpose than to enjoy ourselves with our other UUs. Men’s and women’s groups, book clubs, singles’ dinners and more are available to grow friendships and enjoy!
