The Arizona Legislative Alert is an email newsletter published weekly when the Arizona legislature is in session. It is written by Anne Schneider, retired political science professor and Dean.
Its purposes are:
1) to help educate Arizonans about legislative proposals that would have an impact on education, voting, democratic processes, environment, human rights, and other social justice issues
2) to provide timely information enabling readers to contact their elected leaders regarding proposed legislation.
The newsletter contains short descriptions of bills being considered, dividing the bills by topics (e.g. education, environment, LGBTQ+, women’s issues, and racial justice ) to enable readers to access information on topics most important to them.
