Desert Notes October 30, 2025

This week I am traveling to NYC with other faith leaders for the “Freedom Rising Conference.”  You can attend online if you want to join me! One of my professors from Iliff School of Theology is a headline speaker — Miguel de la Torre. I am excited to go and be inspired and I look forward to coming back and sharing some of the energy and learning with all of you.

Last Sunday, I shared a little with you about what’s breaking my heart and also what’s keeping it open–what it means to be UU in 2025. I got a little teary. Okay, maybe a lot. Thank you for being with me in community. Showing up to Sunday services helps us deepen our connections and practice showing up together in general–which we will need to do more and more of. 

If you’ve been away from VUU, know that we miss you and look forward to your return.
